Fireworks

Last Friday, as I was trying to work and work and work, I noticed from my office window that there's a fireworks display from MetroWalk right around the corner from our building. Indeed, such a display is spectacular. One thing i realize though as I was looking at it from a distance is that, no matter how amazing some things are happening in your life that you witness and experience, it's difficult not to wish that you could glance at someone else's amazed-face, every once in awhile and THAT, for me, is even more spectacular than the actual fireworks display.

EPISODE 3: The tale of evil tuktuk drivers!!!

FROM Kota Kinabalu -> Kuala Lumpur ->Colombo, Sri Lanka

Order of Arrival at the PITSTOP (Independent Square, Colombo, Sri Lanka)
1. Dimple and Sunaina
2. Hussein(RB) and Natasha
3. Ivan(RB) and Hilda
4. Michelle and Claire(RB)
5. Ethan and Khairie(RB)
6. Richards - Hardin(RB)
7. Jess and Lani(RB)
8. Manas and Sahil (plus 2 tuktuk drivers)
9. Alan and Wendy(RB)

D & S did really great, not much problems on this leg, I think their charm worked pretty well on Sri Lanka at the peanut selling task. great job also at the Roadblock.. yielding SG girls kinda sends out a message that the Indian girls can stand up for themselves, I see fierce competition between these two teams in succeeding legs :D

Great job, Hussein in sewing! Hilda, hmm I wonder how tired she will be in epi. 4 hmm

Michelle & Claire, still finishing pretty well after the yield, the pea-NUH team haha! Ethan & Khairie, also pretty focused throughout the leg, switching detours and deciding fast; just some problems with the tuktuk drivers though.

The Richards did ok 'xcept for the RB sewing, 6th is much better than last ;). J&L, askin donations @the train, good job in using their charm, they could've used the money though on ensuring the tuktuk driver bring them to the pitstop at an agreed rate but the driver ripped them off, poor J&L still what happened to M&S' worse.

Manas and Sahil hmm I thought that was crazy to just leave the tuktuk driver like that and run to the pitstop without paying what's agreed.

Alan & Wendy, I doubt it they can overcome the makred for elimination thingy but we'll see.

The Roadblock was kinda difficult for the other teams while I think the other tasks: Counting, Carrying, Selling was kinda not-so creative since it has been done before in previous seasons... why not do these selling stuff in richer countries OR think about other more creative tasks, TARA?

And last but not the least, it kinda sucks for me that this episode is a NEL. Since there've been a NEL in epi. 1 and Allan Wu said there'll be 3 NEL's, now we know when that 3rd NEL is gonnabe which is most likely the episode wherein there are only 4 teams left, so the final 3 shall be determined.

Lookin forward to episode 4!!!

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF EPISODE 3?

TARA season once again!!!

The AXN TARA4 teaser is out! It's officially ON! The excitement! The countdown! The weekly discussions! The never ending debates on which team is the best! The pit stops! Allan Wu and greeter/s! The detours, roadblocks, route infos, tasks, challenges, navigating, getting lost, running, racing!!! Oh, and if you don't know what the hell I am talkin about, you must be under a rock since 2006  hmm OR, don't have AXN? boo-hoo :( Okay, to give you a first-hand expert opinion about this subject matter, The Amazing Race Asia (which we fondly call TARA) is simply the best reality TV show on earth! It is made up of about 10 teams ready to go race around the globe to take home a prize money and the honor of being named The Amazing Race Asia winners! Recap since its premiere year in '06:

SEASON 1 went to Malaysia
SEASON 2 went to SG
SEASON 3 went to HK

And lemme make it clear, this is NOT and Olympic-type contest wherein all Asian countries must have entries. In fact, as per rules, it is open to both locales and expats or people living in an Asian country; regardless of skin color, belief, built, the most important of all is that the teams pass their audition vid, screening and are more than willing to have the most amazing ride of their lives! As for teams whose entries bear the Philippine-pride, we've got quite a number of unforgettable characters all throughout the 3 years-run which kept viewers from across Asia and beyond glued to their tv screens every Thursday night and screaming for more! They are:

2006: hot babes and bestfriends Aubrey Miles & Jacq Yu and power couple Ernie & Jeena Lopez ...

2007: the coolest/funniest/entertaining buddies-ever who captured the hearts of many throughout Asia: TV hosts Marc & Rovilson (became the winningest team ever, 3rd place finish, season2) and the fiery and feisty couple from Cavite: Terri & Henry...

2008: THE lovely and strong couple  Tisha & Geoff (runner-up season3)...

And now... 2010.... could it be our country ~ Philippines' turn???
